Company History
Let’s have a look at the company's history of successes. Here are some milestones of our development.
1986
Mr. Hans Udo Göding founded the company with a partnership under the name of Göding+Weyland in Bielefeld. The business began with manual polishing of plastic injection moulds, serving primarily the automotive industry.
1989
The company was relocated from Bielefeld
to Spenge to offer a greater range of surface treatments services in a larger premises with a staff strength of 10 employees.
Since then, the service portfolio has been extended to the
refurbishment of components for Optical Disc Industry as well.
1990
Upon termination of the partnership,
Göding + Weyland was renamed to
Göding + Partner GmbH.
1991
Our Kierspe facility in the area of Lüdenscheid was established
to cater for the increasing demand of the service interface.
Since then, the business has been supported simultaneously from the two locations.
1995
Laser welding,
which is an effective and precision method for tool repairing was introduced as our value-added services.
In addition, our service portfolio has been enhanced with the introduction of surface
coating for mould components in our in-house coating centre.
Due to the increasing number of employees to 40, we expanded the office space
to 1000-sqm.
1996
Our international business began with the establishment of the new subsidiary Göding + Partner Inc. in Hamden, Connecticut
to cater for the needs of the American market.
2000
We stepped foot in Asia with the establishment of a new facility in Singapore, namely Göding + Partner ASIA.
2003
Our own precision tool shop for Optical Disc Industry with lapping and polishing machines,
as well as manual and CNC controlled surface- and
cylindrical grinding machines
was established in the headquarter.
2005
The company undertook re-building measures
to enlarge the facility as needed.
Oerlikon Balzers Coating
increased its center within our facility, resulting
in a total production area of 2500-sqm in Göding + Partner.
2007
The launch of Blue-Ray line
in the Optical Disc Industry has created further demands in the
mechanical extensions and optimizations
on the products and moulds.
This led to a further expansion
of our precision tooling facility.
2008
The” Mould Surface Treatment System”
was established successfully in the market; in Germany
as well as internationally. The number of employees
has steadily increased. In Spenge alone
there are more than 80 specialists.
A further expansion of Göding + Partner GmbH was achieved
with the company's inception in
Juarez, Mexico, at the border of the United States.
The North, Central and South American regions
can thus be well reached from
the centralized location of this operation..
